NJ’s Minimum Wage Increases on January 1, 2024

Beginning on January 1, 2024, the NJ minimum wage increases to $15.13 per hour.

On September 26, 2023, the NJ Department of Labor announced that New Jersey’s statewide minimum wage will increase by $1 to $15.13 per hour for most employees on Jan. 1, 2024. This achieves – and exceeds – the goal set by legislation signed by Governor Murphy in February 2019 to raise the minimum wage to at least $15 per hour by 2024 for most employees.
